I took a break. A nice, well needed rest with time to reflect on some hard things about writing, publishing, friendships, conferences and more.
It’s time to come home.
Home to a more rigorous writing schedule, more research for my next novel in progress, social media, and better housekeeping!
We bought a cabin in the woods and have spent a lot of time over the last 6 weeks cleaning, fixing, decorating, painting, and dreaming of all the family time we will spend in the years to come.
Sometimes we need a new distraction….the cabin was mine.
Now it’s time to reach again. It’s time to find a new vision and take some bigger steps to catch up. Things have changed, I have changed, but nothing ever stays the same in life or the writing world.
What about you? Have you ever taken a break from your usual life? Did you have trouble going home?
Keep reaching,
Jan
Thanks, Jan, for these wise and realistic thoughts, touched by loss, yet brimming with intention and hope. Blessings on the new ventures!
Thank you, Laurie for all your encouragement. New roads are scary, but knowing that there are people praying and thinking of you as you journey on makes for a blessed trip.
