I just shared with a friend a bible verse that spoke to me. Along with it was a paragraph I copied off some site somewhere about holding fast to your dreams. It’s funny how God works when we aren’t aware of it. She had just heard that same message from someone else. I love it when we get confirmation by duplication. God knows we are slow to believe and weak in our faith at times. So He will send a message to us, even one we should already know, more than once from more than one source.
I don’t know about you, but that means a lot to me, that He would chase me down to tell me something I need to know. He doesn’t have to do that, but like most parents, He wants us to grow up to be the best we can be. If that means driving home a point now and then, He will be faithful to do it.
His promises are true and He is not a man that He should lie. If He gave you a dream, a passion, a talent, a vision, He will complete the work for you in His time. That is a promise I have had to cling to lately. I have had my dreams for a long time and I sometimes wonder if I’m getting too old to see them come to pass. The best thing to do is keep on keeping on and let Him decide when and where. Pretty sure that means letting go but still holding on. It may not make sense in the natural, but I’d rather have supernatural any day.
