Jan enjoys golf, attending her grandchildren’s sports activities, and loves to bake – proud to be called the queen of cheesecakes by her friends and family. Fiction publications:
Jan’s newest project is a Historical Women’s fiction series, American Dreams. The 3 books follow the Wilding family starting in the Kansas dust bowl/depression era to the end of WW2. The series follows the characters through hardships and tragedy, with themes of resilience, forgiveness, and perseverance. Book 3 of the series, All My Goodbyes, is based on the life of her mother and bomber pilot husband during the war. There is a special surprise at the end of the book to ensure an unforgettable read.
Jan spent a year researching her debut novel, Emancipated Heart, and is excited about sharing this poignant story. Set in a Japanese American internment camp during WWII, the book follows one family through the trials of life behind barbed wire. Considering the current events in our country, this book will remind us how easily history repeats itself, and how God calls us to act humanely in all situations. The topic of internment is not well taught in history books. Emancipated Heart will inform and educate, all while providing an entertaining, enjoyable read for anyone, especially history lovers. Category: women’s historical fiction
